Perpetual calendar blocks sit in a recessed cradle with a pen well beside them, all on one brown wood base. Recessing the blocks rather than standing them proud is the detail worth noting — blocks that sit on top get knocked off a desk and lost, and a perpetual calendar missing its month block is scrap. Here they sit below the rim. Day, date and month set by hand. Pen well is open rather than divided. Engraved along the base front. Ordered for milestone gifting and for recipients whose desks are busy enough that a loose-block calendar would not survive.
