Glass rather than steel, wrapped in a cork sleeve with a wooden lid on top. It is the bottle for people who say they can taste metal — which sounds like a small constituency until you send steel bottles to two hundred people and hear from them. Borosilicate takes hot liquid without cracking, and the cork sleeve makes it holdable when it does. Being glass, it is not insulated: contents match ambient temperature within the hour. Cork and wood both laser-engrave. The obvious caveat is breakage — this is not the bottle for a construction site or a school run, and it should be gifted where it will live on a desk.
