Glass rather than opaque, which changes the object entirely — the stirring action is visible through the body, so the novelty is watched rather than only felt. A wooden lid sits on top, and the combination of clear glass and natural wood puts this in a different register from the plastic self-stirring mugs. It looks like a design object that happens to have a motor, rather than a gadget. The wooden lid takes an engraved mark; the glass does not take branding well and is best left plain. Hand wash. Ordered for creative teams and as a desk piece for people who will appreciate the mechanism rather than roll their eyes at it.
