Rectangular metal plate, centred low on a black PU cover, pen alongside. This is the configuration that photographs most cleanly of anything in the notebook range, which is why it appears in most of our own catalogue shots. The plate is a practical choice as much as an aesthetic one. Engraved metal survives handling; PU debossing on a mid-price cover tends to shallow out over time as the material relaxes. Black, plain, plate-branded. If you are ordering for a mixed recipient list and want one item that will not be second-guessed by anybody who signs off on it, this is a reliable answer.
