The notebook and pen are standard; the wooden tray they sit in is not, and it is what shifts the perceived value of the set upward without changing the contents. A grey metal plate on the tan cover takes the logo. Grey against tan is a softer contrast than chrome would be and suits a debossed or etched mark rather than a printed one. Worth choosing when the gift is handed over in person — a wooden tray survives being opened in front of the recipient in a way a card box does not. For couriered gifting the saving on a standard tray is usually better spent elsewhere.
