Machined aluminium rather than folded sheet, which is the distinction worth paying for. A solid stand has weight and does not flex when the screen is tapped; a folded one rocks. Navy anodised finish with a cut-out at the base so a charging cable passes through while the phone is docked. Rubberised pads at every contact point protect the phone and stop the stand sliding.
