A wide open loop rather than a small ring hole, cut straight through the polished body so the outline reads as a shape rather than a drive with a hole in it. The loop is large enough to take a finger, which is how most people actually pull a drive out of a laptop port — not by pinching the body but by hooking it. Polished rather than brushed, so it shows fingerprints and looks better in a photograph. Engraving on either face. A reasonable choice when the drive is part of a presentation set rather than a giveaway pile, where the finish is going to be looked at.
