A brushed metal plate is set into the charcoal cover, and that plate is the point of difference — it is where the logo goes, engraved rather than pressed, so it stays legible for the life of the notebook. Debossed leather softens as the cover flexes and a fine logo can become hard to read within a year. A plate does not move. If your mark has thin strokes or small type, this is the version to specify. Charcoal reads darker than grey and lighter than black, and holds its colour better than either. Matching metal pen included.
