The cork base is not decorative. A steel bottle put down on a glass conference table makes a noise everyone in the room hears; a cork foot makes none. That is the whole argument, and it is enough on its own. Cork also grips, so the bottle does not slide when a table is knocked. The body above is navy powder coat over a double-wall vacuum liner.
