Bamboo on top, dark base below — a two-tone construction that gives the case some visual weight, where an all-bamboo body would look slight. Bamboo is harder than cork and takes the daily handling better, so this is the more durable of the two natural card holders. It also engraves with sharper edges, which matters if the logo has fine detail. The grain varies across a batch. Holds around fifteen cards with a sprung base.
