Of the sustainable materials in this catalogue, cork is the one that looks least like a compromise — it has texture and depth where recycled plastics tend to look flat. It is also light, which for something carried in a jacket pocket is a genuine advantage over a steel case. Laser engraving burns dark into the cork with strong contrast and no additional material. The trade is durability: cork will mark where steel would not, and a case that lives in a bag with keys will show it within a year. For a jacket-pocket user it is fine.
