About this hamper

Two steel bars run across a black front, with the branding plate set between them. The bars are structural — they stiffen a case that would otherwise flex and let the cards curl. Inside, a sprung base pushes the stack up as it depletes, so the top card is always at the same height. It is a mechanism borrowed from cigarette cases and it is the reason cards come out one at a time instead of three at once. Engraving on the centre plate between the bars. A well-made case for someone who will use it daily rather than keep it for occasions.
