Bamboo is the whole argument for this set. The notebook cover is real bamboo veneer rather than a printed woodgrain, so the grain runs differently on every copy and a laser mark burns into it cleanly and permanently. Alongside it sits a matte black insulated bottle and a brass-finish pen, chosen to pick up the warm tone of the wood instead of fighting it. The tray is black, which keeps the bamboo as the thing your eye goes to. This is the set most companies reach for when the gifting brief mentions sustainability but the recipients are senior enough that a jute bag will not do. Bamboo does show fingerprints on a glossy finish, so the cover here is left matte.
